We decided to celebrate Halloween and our 4th year anniversary at my parent’s place with the whole family. Simple dinner but everything turned out perfect. Ang saya lang ng picture picture namin 🙂 I bought glowing horns for the kids and to our surprise, my brother Jayar bought some glasses with weird brows and glowing noses. It matches the horns I bought.

Effort ang decorations nila inside. They’ve hanged a home made spider at the ceiling and they have covered their lights with Jack-o-Lanterns just to give that dim look. I also love the mini witches and the cobwebs that look so real.
I really don’t wanna blog about this since this is way too embarrassing but these would be something that I’ll be laughing in the future when recalled. Honestly, these brought tears in my eyes, actually tears of a scared lost cat. Haha! These unfortunate events started when I finally got a new job in Taguig, The Fort in Global City to be exact. I’m not really familiar with the place since I always hail a cab whenever I wanna go somewhere there so commuting for me is scary. First day was a breeze since I hailed a cab as usual. I arrived I think 30 minutes ahead of time so I had all the time to relax and make chika with my friends. Second day was like the start of my own version of “Series of Unfortunate Events”. It’s like hating Union Bank all day. It was supposed to be a happy day since its payday but it turned out to be so annoying. The money is usually out around 2pm every payday but when we checked, the money was still not available. I got really scared since I thought that my money was held by my previous employer for not showing up at work. Then I got a text message from a friend that Compensation and Benefits Dept was having troubles in releasing the salary and it’ll be out by 5pm. I was like “WTF!”. I got no money left, even change and the fact that I need to be at work 7pm that day so there.. Cab again. 3rd day. Finally, I decided to be a commuter. I gathered self-confidence then off I went. From what I thought was the easiest route, I headed to Shaw Blvd in Mandaluyong. I rode a jeepney from Kalentong to Starmall then waited for buses along EDSA. I’m really scared of riding buses along EDSA since most of the people I know tagged them as “Killer Buses” for they drive so fast like you need to say your last prayer before it’s too late. So there, I stood there waiting. A bus stopped in front of me so I asked the driver’s assistant if that particular bus will pass through the Ayala MRT station and he said it will so I got on the bus and found a comfortable seat just beside the door so I wont be squeezed by some of the passengers and I’ll be able to get off easily. The bus passed through the stretch of EDSA and squeezed into loads of vehicles. Same shit everyday. Traffic. I checked my watch and smiled as I still have enough time to bear with the traffic. I started to panic when the bus passed through a tunnel instead of maintaining its way through EDSA. I calmed myself by thinking that I’ll just get off the bus at the nearest bus stop but the bus continued moving all the way to a huge flyover. I don’t know what to do anymore. I don’t even know the places where the bus was going through already. I started reading billboards and signs on the way. To my surprise, I read a sign that the road the bus was taking will take us to the Skyway at the south bound. I felt so helpless and I really wanted to cry. I’m looking for signs of any bus stop but those were nowhere to be found. I found myself already in tears but I tried my best to hide it to avoid getting attention from other passengers. I’m really upset that I’ll be late for work and the thought of being lost somewhere far scares me. I got a lot of things in my head that I didn’t notice that the bus was slowly moving already. It stopped in a crowded place. To my relief, I saw a mall that looks familiar.. SM Bicutan. WTF! I am on Bicutan! I got off the bus and followed some passengers who were walking towards the mall. I asked the mall security officer for a nearby cab lane and he gave me instructions. I’m already running towards the cab lane since I only have 30 minutes left on my clock before my shift starts. Cab again.. I was caught in the middle of traffic since it’s rush hour already. The cab driver was so nice to look for alternate routes so I wont be late that much. Unfortunately, the cab that I am on was hit by a car that’s driving his way to hell. The good thing was, I’m not badly hurt aside from some muscle pains in my back and legs. They argued first before we continued on our way. Finally, The Fort. I was late for almost an hour. Lame! Id swear that I won’t be riding a bus in EDSA again especially when I’m alone. The next day was again a part of the series. I was thinking of a better route so I decided to take Makati instead. I left the house 2 hours and 30 minutes ahead of my schedule shift thinking it would be enough for me not to be late but again I was wrong.. I’ve considered taking the LRT then MRT but I’m afraid it’ll be crowded so I took a bus in Buendia. Traffic was overrated! Aside from that, the bus crawled throughout Makati to hitch passengers. I’ve thought of taking a cab again but I’ve stopped myself from doing so because I realized that I won’t ever learn how to commute by myself if I’ll consider that option. Waiting for the bus to move took ages. Finally, I saw the flyover where buses will turn right so I got off the bus in Glorietta and started brisk walking all the way to the MRT Ayala station. While walking, a lot of cabs stopped alongside. It’s like they’re inviting me or some sort but I refused the idea, checked the time and walked as fast as I could. Well, in fairness I arrived 15 minutes late. Much better than the day that I got lost in Bicutan.
Came Friday.. we already had access to the Biometrics (the finger scanning thing) so I need to make sure that I wont be late ever again or it’ll be deducted on my working hours. I have decided to take the MRT this time, being squeezed out inside the train is really not my concern anymore. I took a jeepney from Kalentong to Shaw again, then took the MRT. Thank God the train was not that crowded or the series has its finale already? Haha! Got off the train from the Ayala station and took the Fort bus. I was so proud of myself when I found out that I arrived 15 minutes ahead of my schedule. If only I have tried to take the MRT from the start and tried commuting every now and then, I wont have gone through all of that crap. If only.. If only.. Well, as they say.. regrets always says hello at each end. Haha! I have made my friends and my husband proud too when they learned that I was able to reached the office without taking a cab. I swear from now on that I’ll try to commute around so this will not happen again.

New environment.. New people (but not all of them though) Positive energy through out. Welcome to my new life. Haha! We started the day with a surprise, long, mind bugging reviewer exam for the FF peeps. At first, we were under the impression that they’ll use the exam results to gauge or to know the specific things they’ll need to focus on training but apparently, we’re wrong! It was announced that everyone who passed the exam will start dialing the next day. I’m torn between being excited to take in calls again and at the same time sad because I’ll not be able to petix in training anymore unlike the others. Haha!

Specifically, since It-must-not-be-named already called and scheduled some of us for training first thing on my Monday, we have decided to end our Friday shift with a bang. Drinking session at noon. EPIC! Drink till someone didn’t know where his house is. That’s the agenda! Haha! .. and we have succeed! 🙂

I don’t want to go on with the session’s details because of some secrets revealed and scenes that were explicit! Haha! Kidding. Too bad that I have spent just 2 weeks with some of them since I need to go on with my life and go somewhere I’m pretty sure that I’ll be happy. Goodbyes are really not my favorite part of life but I can get by, I know. I’ll be missing them specially my FF friends that needs to stay behind for the meantime and just for the meantime. Well, this is really gonna be A Shot to Remember 🙂

This is a quote that I saw on Twitter and it made me look back on the days that I was so skinny. First photo was taken I think 4 or 6 years ago. Haha! Those were the days that I’m still single, party all night and will be sleeping all day. Skipping meals for that matter. My Mom always remind me to eat but then again due to my hectic schedule, I barely eat a full meal. I usually go with those easy to eat stuff like crackers and biscuits but I always made sure to eat a meal for breakfast and that’s it. My friends were asking if I have Anorexiaor something but I never intended to go on a diet. That’s really not my thing. I guess it’s just because of the life style I had before or maybe because I’m not really healthy. I can’t even say that my metabolism rate is high. As much as I wanted to eat a lot, I have no time and situations back then doesn’t permits me to. Funny right but that’s true.
Then came my Hubby. Fave hobby: EATING! 2nd photo was taken just recently. I’m still working minus “The Party All Night” part. He always takes care of what I need. I am his baby 🙂 We eat a lot when were together so from having 24 as my waistline, it blew up to 29. Haha! I have no regrets though. Honestly speaking, I still envy those skinny girls once in a while that they can wear whatever they wanna wear and flaunt what they have but I believe that being sexy is not all about the appearance though. The word Sexy is an attitude. I’m not on a diet right now and not planning to in the near future. I love to eat and my husband love me for what I am and that is the only thing that matters.

It has been 9 years already. Time flies so fast.. I still remember the time when he’s still our little baby. Now, our little pumpkin has grown up to be an adorable boy. We celebrated his birthday at my parent’s house with the whole family 🙂

We have attended the night mass to thank Him for another year for our boy too and bought him a toy helicopter on our way home. The day turned out fun as expected. This is one of my typical sleepless night. Browsing my Facebook account, tweeting with friends, cursing those pigs from Angry Birds and thinking of something interesting to blog. I noticed something unusual when a friend of mind commented on a status that I just posted. I was like thinking of disliking his comment just to be annoying when I noticed that the DISLIKE BUTTON was really there. Haha! However, I was disappointed that when I refreshed my page it was nowhere to be found. Awww.. It’s like appearing in a minute then disappearing again. I think that it’s only a system glitch and it would really be wonderful if it was really there. Haha! I believe that a lot wanted to have the DISLIKE BUTTON on their Facebook page as well right? Got nothing to do and still can’t sleep. I read about this blog about decorating the house for Halloween so since I can’t decorate our apartment that way and boredom of course, I decided to just decorate my face. Haha! Not literally for that matter. Well, I love dressing up for Halloween but still haven’t decide yet on what to wear for I’m not pretty sure where will I’ll be spending it. I’ve browsed thru my photos and found some perfect photos for editing.
Scary right? My friend told me that it’s more of a battered wife though. Haha!

I was so excited about this movie the moment I saw it in commercials. I really think that it would be good. It stars Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman and Dakota Goyo who played as his son in the movie. The movie also stars Evangeline Lilly who played Hugh’s best friend. The film is based on the 1956 short story “Steel” by Richard Matheson. It’s a thrilling humanistic drama which entertains you to the core. It unravels the nuances of the complex relationship between a father and his estranged son set against the backdrop of boxing robots. Animatronics robots were built for the film, and motion capture technology was used to depict the brawling of computer-generated robots and animatronics. The effects are really nice 🙂
The setting of the movie was designed to be in 2020 where humans have been replaced by robots in boxing. Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman) is a former boxer who attempts to get money in illegal boxing matches between robots to pay his debts to loan sharks. Then Charlie is informed his ex-girlfriend has died, and he has to attend a meeting to decide the fate of his preteen son Max (Dakota Goyo). Max’s aunt Debra (Hope Davis) and uncle Marvin (James Rebhorn) want full custody, and Charlie gives it to them in exchange for $100,000 from Marvin, $50,000 of it in advance, on the condition that Charlie takes care of Max for three months, while Marvin and Debra are away on a second honeymoon. Charlie and Max meet with Charlie’s friend Bailey Tallet (Evangeline Lilly), who runs the boxing gym of her deceased father, Charlie’s old coach. There, Charlie buys a secondhand WRB league robot, the once-famous Noisy Boy, and arranges for it to fight the illegal circuit’s champion, Midas, at a venue belonging to his friend Finn (Anthony Mackie). Partly due to his inexperience with Noisy Boy’s combinations, Charlie ends up losing control of Noisy Boy and Midas destroys it.
Charlie breaks into a junkyard with Max to steal scraps that he can use to put a new robot together. There, Max falls over a ledge, where he is saved from doom after being snagged by a lodged and buried robot arm. After Charlie pulls him back up, Max uncovers the entire robot, called Atom. On Max’s insistence, Charlie takes it back to Bailey’s gym, where they discover Atom is an obsolete Generation-2 sparring bot built-in 2014. Atom has been designed to sustain massive damage, but is unable to deal out much damage itself. Max convinces Charlie to get Atom a fight, and upgrades it to take vocal commands using spare parts from Noisy Boy and Ambush.
Charlie and Max take Atom to fight an unsanctioned outdoor match against a robot called Metro, and Atom wins, earning back some of Charlie’s money. Atom’s string of subsequent wins and high-speed humanoid boxing maneuvers which are rarely seen from a robot, attracts the attention of a promoter from the World Robot Boxing league (WRB), who offers Atom a professional fight against a robot called Twin Cities. Charlie accepts, and Atom wins again, thanks to Charlie’s knowledge of boxing, which allows him to locate a design flaw in Twin Cities. Taking advantage of Atom’s subsequent novelty attention, Max challenges WRB champion Zeus, designed by arrogant genius Tak Mashido (Karl Yune) and sponsored by rich Russian Farra Lemcova (Olga Fonda), who accepts, but first tries to buy the upstart Atom.
As they leave the Twin Cities fight, Charlie is attacked by Ricky and his men, who beat him severely, assault Max and steal their money. Feeling guilty, Charlie returns Max to his aunt and uncle so they can protect him, but Bailey convinces him he can be a better father to Max. Debra allows him one more chance, and Charlie takes Max to the Zeus-Atom match. Zeus severely damages Atom — while also getting injured, a first for Zeus. In the last round of the five-round match, Atom’s vocal receptors are damaged, and Atom must fight in shadow-boxing mode, copying Charlie’s moves from the aisle. Zeus, now controlled manually by a very furious Tak Mashido, expends energy on pummeling the defensive Atom. After Zeus runs very low on power, Atom begins to heavily damage Zeus, even knocking the seemingly invincible champion down once, but doesn’t win before the round ends, and the judges declare a winner on points. They favor Zeus, but his reputation is tarnished, and Atom has become famous as “The People’s Champion”.
Aside from the effects of this movie that’s really amazing, the film somehow portrays Manny Pacquiao‘s story because like Atom, Manny also fought bigger men and being called “The People’s Champion” as well. The fight with Zeus was like Manny boxing Mayweather. Haha! I really enjoyed the movie plus the fact that the story will teach you that not everything in this world has its price. It also suggests that people should be confident in their gifts and use them judiciously so this is really a must watch film 🙂
This is just a continuation of our cam whoring moments during our training in Vonage. It’s the boring stuff so we find ways to shake the boredom off. Haha!
