Book Blogger Hop: December 12th – 18th

Question of the Week

How many books do you read in a week? How many hours do you spend reading a day?

My Answer:

This is the most heartbreaking question I’ve been asked. Lol. I used to read four to five books a week and spent half my day just reading and most likely blogging. It changed when I was accepted on a regular day job. I spend nine hours at work and around four hours commuting from and to our office. So imagine me being so busy for almost 13 hours a day. Where’s my reading time went? Of course I still need to eat, sleep, do mommy and housewife duties so really it’s a struggle now to look for my Me Time aka Reading Time. Nowadays, I can only read one to two books a week and spending at least an hour or two reading a day. Now I know you realized why it’s heartbreaking. Lol. Thank God for scheduled post since I’m devoting one of my days off from work to solely compose and schedule my memes every week and squeeze a review or two. So I suppose nobody’s going to ask me anymore why I’m reading on a snail pace. Bear with a working mom sweethearts! 😀

  1. Girl I understand. I have a two hour commute (yeah audiobooks) and I have a 10 hour work day. With that a no kids I have a hard time getting reading in. If it was not for audiobooks I would have no finished many books this year. Great post!

    • I haven’t tried audiobooks ’cause I really want to read the hardcover or the ebook at least, but I would consider it since it’s working for you. Thanks babe ♥

  2. Do you drive for your commutes, Nyze? If yes, maybe audiobooks would help? And if not, I guess you’re already spending some of your time on the bus / train or whatever reading.
It’s hard to find time for our own hobbies when we work, have kids, a house and food to make, eh? I hope you’ll be able to find more time for reading once more.

    • I don’t drive so yeah I’m reading while on a bus. It is indeed hard, but I’m thankful I have my family to take care of and a nice job that can support my book needs. Lol! 🙂
