My Week in a Wrapped #15

SundayPost

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

This is my first Sunday Post for 2015! Yay! Well, our New Year celebration was a blast. Spent it with the whole family again and it was a lot of fun. A lot of firecrackers, confetti, food, laughter and a whole lot of hugs and kisses from a lot of visiting relatives. Reunited with a bunch of childhood friends too since we spent the New Year’s eve at my parents’ place where I grow up. Partied till two in the morning and got up so late the following day. Lol! Also keeping my fingers crossed so I can keep my resolutions this year. How did you celebrate your New Year’s Eve? Was it fun and do you have any New Year’s Resolutions to keep too? I’ve also changed my blog’s header and background. How do you find it? 😀 Oh hey, I’ll keep this short for now since I’m off to buy a new mobile phone. I’m so excited!

Disguised as a boy, she enlists the help of the handsome but also cursed Prince Niklaas to fight legions of evil and free her brother from the ogre queen who stole Aurora’s throne ten years ago. Will Aurora triumph over evil and reach her brother before it’s too late? Can Aurora and Niklaas break the curses that will otherwise forever keep them from finding their one true love?

I want to have this part dedicated to book lovers I’m following 🙂

Newly Owned to Read

Still have nothing this week. Keeping my Blogger’s Resolution of finishing my unread books first before checking for new ones. Believe me. I’ve never logged on to my NetGalley account for almost two weeks now. Haha! Do you have a Sunday Post too? Please leave your links on the comment box. 😀

  1. That sounds like a lot of fun – it sounds like you enjoy your family.
We had a party, our fifth in a row. Next year we are going somewhere instead. We used to have huge cocktail parties, with caterers and 75 to 80 guests. Now 20 is the limit I think; at least for a sit down dinner. We slept until 10 AM too that was probably your 10 PM though!

    • My family is one wacky bunch so when we get together, it has always been fun. 75-80 guests? That’s a huge party. Are those all family members or friends included? I want to be out of town too if given a chance. Or perhaps out of the country. 🙂 Have a great week babe ♥

  2. Sounds like your New Year was really good, Nyze! Even catching up with childhood friends, it sounds amazing 🙂
My resolutions for 2015 also include reading more of the books I own – but I’m incapable of not getting new books added to my kindle every single week anyway.
Have a fantastic week, and happy reading.

    • I love being reunited with old friends, it makes me feel young again. 😉

I haven’t logged on to Kindle and NetGalley for two weeks now. Perhaps I’ll read 5 to 10 more books that I own before buying new ones. Just to cut the pile. 😀

Have a great week babe ♥

  3. You sound like you have a lot of fun over the holiday! Resolutions are always hard to keep.
We stayed in on NYE with a bunch of friends and just hung around and drank and eat some yummy food it was a lot of fun.

I hope you have a great week and a Happy New Year!

  4. I love the blogs new look!

It sounds like you had a great NYE. Mine was quiet and I fell asleep before Midnight lol. I’m also reading Princess of Thorns and I like it so far.

Have a great week and Happy New Year!

    • Yay! I’m glad you like it. I want to have it as minimal looking as possible so it can be pleasant in the eyes 🙂

My son always fell asleep right before midnight. In his 12 years of existence, he was finally awake this time. Lol!

Can’t wait for your thoughts about Princess of Thorns. Have a great week babe! ♥

  5. – Your blog has received a new make-over 😛 I’m telling you, we are a dangerous duo in how we influence each other; still, I love it!

    – I’m so proud of you for keeping to your goal of not submitting any further request for books! I have a huge pile I need to review too :/ in fact, I’ve thought about stepping out of the weekly memes so that I can just commit to reading and submitting these reviews; I hate to have to think of blogging as a chore 😦

    Have a wonderful week friend!

    • Lol! Glad you love it. I got tired of the previous layout so I decided to give my blog a make over. Then I saw yours and I was like.. “She’s having a make over too!!” Haha! Like we’re thinking about the same things most of the time 😀

You won’t believe how I’m so struggling not to browse new books. Like I’m not scrolling through my feed on social networking sites to stay away from temptations. That’s so freaking hard. I trust you’ll read all of them in no time babe. Just do it one at a time okay? Have a great week ahead ♥

  6. Happy New Year! We spent New Year’s Eve at my tita’s house and even though we didn’t have much fireworks, their neighbors had a lot so we had like our own fireworks display lol 🙂 We also played ‘Heads Up’ sort of like a reversed ‘Pinoy Henyo’ game. It was super fun and super funny. I haven’t decided on my resolutions or life goals for this year yet. I need to think on that more. Btw, I love your new header design and background: classy and easy on the eyes 🙂 What phone are you buying? *curious cat* 🙂

Btw, how did you make your reading progress bar? I’ve been wanting to put it on my blog and I can’t seem to find anything that works for WordPress.com. 🙂

    • It sounds that you had a blast. We didn’t play games though ’cause we’re so scared of the firecrackers outside the house so we stayed in then dance the night away. I have Blogger’s resolutions for now. Haven’t really thought of something personal. Like for my life and stuff. Lol! So glad you love my blog’s new layout. Yay! Spent hours thinking of the design honestly ’cause I’m so fickle-minded. Bought myself an ASUS Zenfone5. It’s pretty classy for an affordable price. Plus it’s running under 2GB RAM. I love it ’cause I’m a phone gamer. My games run smoothly now. 😀

I’ve sent you the codes on your Yahoo for the progress bar 😀
