Book Cover Reveal: LUX, Opposition

This is just a quick post. I just have to post this since I can’t contain my happiness. I’ve just posted a blog about the books I’m dying to read (Please Click Here: Waiting on Wednesday) ranting that this enthralling book doesn’t have a cover yet. I was really eager to have at least a glimpse of what would it be since the covers from the rest of the books on this series are really gorgeous. Plus I’m pretty sure that Daemon’s striking face will be on there. Look what I’ve found when I was browsing Goodreads..

Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came.

She can’t believe Daemon welcomed his race or stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred, and love has become an emotion that could destroy her—could destroy them all.

Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal.

They must team with an unlikely enemy if there is any chance of surviving the invasion. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything— even what they cherish most—to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.

War has come to Earth. And no matter the outcome, the future will never be the same for those left standing.

Now you can see them all together.

We last left Katy and Daemon as they just escaped from the research center in Arizona and after they revealed to the world that they are aliens in Las Vegas. Now, they are on the run and looking to not get caught and taken in.

It didn’t disappoint. See, there’s my Daemon. Hah! The cover looks so mysterious. Honestly, I’m so torn about this. I believe this is the series’ finale so I’m excited and also it is heartbreaking knowing that the series would come to an end. The feeling that you would want to read more about the characters and yet you’re also thinking that it would be overkill. I have been feeling that mixed emotions since God knows when, perhaps when I started reading series. Since then, reading helped me move on. Move on to a new series. Haha! I’m really looking forward to reading this. I haven’t blog about this series yet, perhaps I would, either after I’ve read this or when laziness decided to leave me alone. It just sucks when you’re not on a computer and you want to blog about everything and then suddenly switch to blank mode right when you click new post. Talking about bloggers block indeed. So yeah. I would blog about this as soon as my mood permits. 😀

Sprinkled with Love

I’m not really into love novels because I’m more of a fantasy/adventure reader. I love those books the like of the Percy Jackson or Harry Potter series, like I said this for the nth time. There are love angles on the PJ and HP series, but it’s so minimal that you will enjoy the adventure more. It’s more of a kick or a twist to make the story more fascinating. Lately, I’m struggling to find a good read, I created an account on Goodreads so I won’t be outdated for bestseller books. I was browsing books when I stumbled upon these books that have amazing covers. For me, a good cover add up to a book’s value contrary to the saying “Don’t judge the book by its cover.” A writer could not expect that his book will sell if he wrapped it on an old newspaper clip. Could he? Anyway, I read two sets of series this past week. Both of them were adventure/fantasy kinds of stuff, but they’re sprinkled with a great deal of love. Two totally different worlds and stories, but both thrilling and adventure packed I may say.

Anna Banks‘ book covers are so striking and beyond beautiful. That’s the first thing that I have noticed when I stumbled upon her books. I read the plot and it immediately hit me that this is one of those books that’s obviously yelling for “And they lived happily ever after..” and I love it right away, blame it to Disney. Plus the fact that I’m fascinated with mermaids and under the sea adventure since Disney made The Little Mermaid movie and it’s sequel.
