Weekly Photo Challenge: Converge

Weekly Photo Challenge is hosted by The Daily Post,
where we publish a new post with a photo interpreting the weekly theme..

The Grannies

This week’s theme is:

CON-VERGE
/ˈkənˈvərj/

verb
(of several people or things) come together from different directions so as eventually to meet.

This was taken at the airport when we need to pick up my Granny when she arrived from Seattle. That’s my Mom and Dad with my son (far left), my nieces and my nephew. This photo is priceless and I titled it The Grannies for some obvious reason. Go figure! 😀

You feel completely comfortable entrusting your baby to them for long periods,
which is why most grandparents flee to Florida.”

Our Rainy Summer Adventure

My Aunt and Granny just came back from the States so they treated us for an adventure. It was well timed for my rest day at work so we were able to come. The catch is, the weather in the Philippines is so unpredictable. It’s going to be sunny and the next thing you know, it is already raining cats and dogs. The rain was already brewing from up north when we woke up and packed for the trip the morning after we arrived at Olongapo City. We have expected the worst so we won’t be disappointed.

It was already raining a little when we were on our way and it’s kinda cold for a swim but still I’m pretty much excited. There’s a street there that’s named as Manila Avenue huh. 😊

I so love the place! I love being so close to nature once in a while. I took photos the moment we have checked in. Here’s some of the photos I took:

White RockSo here’s the entrance at The White Rock Waterpark and Beach Hotel, pretty classy right? It’s in Matain, Subic Zambales.

The so-called “Year Ender Post”

Well, yeah. As the title of this blog post reads.. This is my version of the so-called “Year Ender Post”. Most bloggers have this posted last week of December of the previous year and since I was too busy to do that, I’ll have it posted just today.

JANUARY

We started the year right, celebrated New year with the whole family Ü

Had a get-together with my close friends Oleng and RenRen which the photos were corrupted by WordPress and to my surprise.. I don’t have backup files. Lame!

Mint and I had fun at the Atiatihan Pandacan Fiesta and we’re planning to join it again this year Ü

Our Birthday Swim ♥

Who says it’s too late for summer? Well, remember me complaining about my frustrations to have that one summer getaway that would definitely quench my thirst for fun? Our birthday [Yeah. Hubby and I shares the same birthdate Ü] was the best time to have it, I guess.. and my Dad was my Fairy GodFather who made my wishes come true Ü

Our actual birthday is May 29 but we decided to have the Birthday Swim last May 30th so my siblings can come too. We had it at Jed’s Island Resort in Calumpit, Bulacan. It was the perfect weather.. The sky was partly cloudy and the breeze was just right.

I’ve accidentally erased my supposed to be header of this blog, unfortunately so I picked this instead. It’s not as good as my first shot though..

He greeted me at the entrance. Hihi Ü

The birthday boy ♥

The entrance at the hanging bridge. There’s my Hubby planking and my brother. Lol!

That hanging bridge scared the sh*t out of me for real. It’s swaying especially if there are people crossing it like this shot. I may look like smiling but I’m trembling like hell. LOL!

Luckily, we got a cottage near 2 kiddie pools for my nephew and nieces.

Ayeee.. I’m the queen of the world! Ü

My brother, nephew and nieces ♥

The place is so beautiful and we really enjoyed the trip as obvious as the photos right? I am so happy that we were able to celebrate our birthday with my family. It was truly a day to remember and cherish. I’m hoping that we could have more trips with the family in the future. Belated Happy Birthday to us xoxo ♥♥♥

Happy Birthday Mommy ♥

My Mom’s birthday is so weird. According to her, she was brought to this world by a hilot and the hilot got confused about her birthdate. My Granny told me that her actual birthday was February 29. Yes, leap year indeed but the hilot indicated March 28 on her birth certificate. So Mom’s got 3 birthdays every year when it’s a leap year of course. February 28, 29 and March 28. We usually celebrate it every February 28 though.

My beautiful Mom ♥

Though I have a love-hate relationship with her, no one can replace her of course. She’s my ever dearest Mom. I remember her telling me that I would definitely follow her when she’ll die (not now and in the near future pls) because I don’t know anything when it comes to household chores and the like. She also added that I should look for a guy who would do everything for me. Lol! Well, thanks for my hubby, perfect choice I may say. My mom is so masipag, that’s why I always miss her when I moved out of our home. Yung feeling na pag gising mo, she’s done with the laundry, cooked lunch already (I usually woke up late, I always skip breakfast. Lol), cleaned the house and just busy reading her favorite pocket books or watching telenovelas on TV. Some says that I am the official black sheep of the family but Mom would always tell me that it’s not true. Wala daw talagang black sheep in every family. They’re just confused and lost kids that needs proper guidance in order for them to grow inline with the good things. Congrats to my Mom since I’m proud of who I am right now. She’s done a very good job. I hope for more birthdays for her, good health and all the love in the world. I ♥ you Mommy Yow Ü
