My Week in a Wrapped #11

SundayPost

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

This week has been ordinary. Still struggling to have my Me Time aka Reading Time. The breeze has gone cold since Christmas is fast approaching. I’m in a tropical country which usually has a searing hot temperature so the last quarter is my favorite part of the year really. The sun shines beautifully, the sky’s so blue dotted with fluffy clouds, but the breeze is really cold especially in the morning so I’m loving it. Perfect for sitting on a bench at a park with a book in hand. I’m quite worried about the reported typhoon though. I heard from the news that it’s awfully strong and the central part of the country is currently being devastated. There are places that doesn’t have electricity and people are in need of food and safe shelter. The report also stated that the typhoon will be weaker by the time it reaches Manila where I’m from. As of this writing here in Manila, we only have cloudy gray sky and no rain yet. This is a photo I’ve seen from our local news:

Typhoon Hagupit

So scary. I’m really hoping the typhoon won’t stay long enough to wreak our country to ruins like typhoon Yolanda did. Prayers are really needed in times like this so I’m praying for everybody’s safety.

  1. I hope the typhon will not even arrive all the way to Manilla, Nyze, I would be very scared, too! I hope you and your family will stay safe, and that those who lost electricity and shelter will be taken good care of!
Nice selection of books this week! Imitation kind of calls to me 🙂
Have a great week and happy reading, Nyze.

  2. Exciting books this week.
I’m praying for the typhoon to go easy on you, Nyze. We deal with hurricanes here on the Gulf Coast and they can be so scary. Stay safe!

  3. I love when NetGalley approvals come through even when I have way TOO MANY already waiting to be read. Stay safe……typhoons just sound scary! I hope that it passes over where you are!

  4. You are in my thoughts!!! I’ve always wanted to live somewhere tropical, but hearing about things like this always make me think being land locked isn’t so bad :/ Stay safe!.

Love your nearly grabs – it really does pour on there huh? Oh well, hopefully they’re all great!

  5. I hope you are safe now! My husbands family is from Leyte so they were stranded and lost their homes with typhoon Yolanda. Stay safe and dry, and I hope you enjoy your new books!

    • It’s sunny here now. Thank God the typhoon weakened and eventually left earlier than predicted. That so awful. I hope your husband’s family has recovered. Have a great week ♥
